As in most communities where The Salvation Army has a presence, The Baton Rouge Corps operates a Thrift Store.  Located at 10420 Coursey Blvd., the store accepts donated clothing and household goods.  Donations are used twice, first to provide reasonably priced merchandise to those in need and second to provide funds that supply a portion of our operating costs.

The store also provides work therapy employment to men who are actively involved in our programs.  This allows them to make their way back into the workforce and become productive members of society.  In 2012, The Salvation Army gave 120,075 articles of clothing to help those in need due to fire or economic crises; many more were assisted with furniture and other household items.
